Spring Poqomchi’ recover ancestral lands.

Life, virgin forests, rivers, flora and fauna, it is spring. The historical background of the Finca La Primavera in San Cristobal AV date to 1799.

There are already 215 years that Poqomchi’ families live in this estate, and since them they have been working on the farm, like “mozos colonos”. Since 2000 they were part of the organitation Verapaz Union of Campesino Organizations -UVOC-, and in this moment they initiated negotiations for the purchase of the property via the Land Fund.
